Lenovo laptops are decent for the price, but it really depends on what specific laptop model. All brands have some bad lemons, just make sure to pick a decent model.

My cousin has a Lenovo laptop and it works well. Though I'm not sure what model it is. The camera looks decent and has a good quality. You need to focus on important specs you need to check when buying a laptop.

It depends on what criteria you are looking for. Are you gonna use is for gaming, work, or just a daily use. Depending on your usage will gives you more idea what you should be more focusing aside from the price. Like the version, model, memory, etc. It's better to evaluate yourself first then go shop around which one fits your needs and budget. You can compare online as well.

I suggest the Lenovo Ideapad 320. It cost around $370, the design is good, the specifications it's not really that powerful but it's good for daily use and school. If you want more storage and RAM it is upgradeable. If you want to make it last longer just take good care of this. I hope you'll find the best laptop for your budget and won't feel regret.

I am not a laptop expert in anyway, but I just want to share that I have an acer aspire which I bought way back 2008 and I have no problems with it until now. I use it for a good amount of 8-10 hours every single day. It wasn't that expensive when I bought it back then. It does a pretty good job and definitely it lasted me long and still hoping for many more years together with my trusty laptop :)
Other good brands I know are those of Lenovo and HP. I've known about this brand from my friends who has them and are completely satisfied with their laptops. Hope this helps you a bit. Try researching too for other info that might help you and I wish you luck that you'll be able to find the best one for your needs and budget.

When I was in college I always bring my HP laptop with me(it's heavy though), using it for research. I also occasionally drop it when I'm in a hurry but it still works smoothly and it has been my constant companion until now.
While my colleague can't get over his Lenovo laptop because he said that it is very sturdy for its price. He uses his laptop for work alone so it's battery stays up for 3days.
Think about why you need a laptop, your power source and practicality. If you only need a laptop for office works just buy reliable cheaper ones. But If you will use it for editing or gaming, you will need expensive laptop with great graphic display. It'll be worth spending.

When you're going to purchase a latop, you should consider different specifications to suit your needs. But if you're on a budget, I can recommend Toshiba. They have this lightweight models that come at affordable prices. It's good for gaming too.

Base on my own experience since I am using dell laptop, I can say that Dell laptop is durable and you can really trust the performance but in looking for a laptop there's a lot of things that you must consider, first what is the purpose of the laptop? Is it for gaming or office work? If your purpose is only for office work just pick the laptop that has reasonable price minimum 2GB RAM if working with basic files, you'll be fine with that, but if you have extra budget just get the 4GB RAM then 64-bit processor and for your storage you can just buy an external hard drive for 6TB for your file storage but if you are looking for gaming laptop, it may cost you a little bit since it requires to have a high specification laptop for gaming. For gaming laptop you have to consider the graphics memory 4GB will do so that you'll have good resolution then the RAM of the laptop must be much powerful for better performance for the CPU speed I'll suggest to have 2-3GHz. I hope this would help you in getting the right laptop according to your purpose.

I may have bought a similar laptop like yours. i am currently using Acer Aspire. and I bought mine around 2009. Still working and reliable. I also got a Toshiba laptop that is still working up to now. bought last 2008. I have a small problem with Lenovo however, it is so slow. I have been searching for forums about it and it seems that the same model is experiencing slow pace. But other than that they are all decent ones.

I always advise people to think not only of the laptop itself but of the commitment of the company too after-sales service. The brands that produce corporate laptops usually have better service desks because they have fleets of laptops numbering in the thousands out there in banks, insurance companies and in education and pride themselves in their ability to fix a problem in the shortest possible time. These are Dell, Lenovo (IBM), HP, Toshiba, Apple. Their corporate laptops are designed to give no trouble (less than 2.5% failure rate) so they make sure any bugs are ironed out before they go to the market and they don’t keep changing the models.;)

Just bought a Lenovo ideapad 320, it's pretty good. Very lightweight, but a little slow. So I decided that I was going to add an SSD and contacted Lenovo support; told them what I wanted to do and they were happy to help. So my kudos are with them.

Will post specs soon!

Out of pure expeirence I wouldn’t go with Acer or HP, I have had nothing but issues with these brands, high and low spec machines.

I have a Dell XPS and it’s never let me down, but in terms of price vs performance Lenovo are doing pretty well these days and if you’re looking for a ‘’bang for your buck’’ machine, Lenovo are a good choice, you’ll get a nice i5 machine with an SSD for a good price.

This if my opinion of course and this does depend what you want to achieve on your system.

If you’re wanting to do light graphic design you want to look displays with IPS 1920x1080 at least. If you want to do some gaming, a higher refresh rate and a good GPU + CPU is what you’re looking for and for productivity you want at least a quad core CPU.

HP is a pretty good laptop brand to go for especially if you are on a tight budget. They have a wide range of laptops, available at most price ranges and the laptops themselves are really good as well.
