Lowest price for dedicated server that is not suspicious?

Dedicated servers are obviously the most expensive choice when it comes to hosting solutions: they can handle higher bandwidth, offer more freedom and can even be used for other kinds of hosting, like TeamSpeak or game servers.
However, making the switch from a shared hosting can be quite the shock in terms of monetary investment. Luckily for us, cheap dedicated server plans are a thing.

What is the lowest price you can pay a dedicated server that is not suspicious (as in, so low that it's not possible to guarantee the quality of the service)?

Dedicated servers are not really the most expensive choice, it depend at first how much resources you need.
And a dedicated server with a small CPU and hard drive will be slower than a VPS with SSD.

50€ monthly, right? If that's the case, then geez, that's way more expensive than I thought. More than half a thousand bucks for a year of service is quite the investment. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, that's true. At the same price, though, I would expect a dedicated server to have better performance compared to its alternatives, because, well... it would defeat the point otherwise, wouldn't it? Or are there more convenient options that provide similar, if not enhanced, performance?

Yes, the perfect question.
Many times we see that dedicated server at low cost.
But as low as $20 or $30 per month, I'm thoughtful that will it work?

Dedicated servers provide you with hosting on a server fully committed to your business needs and yours alone. This gives you the freedom of utilizing your server the way you prefer, not forgetting that memory, speed, bandwidth and other web resources are at your convenience and advantage.

If you require good and better performing servers, you should pay some more bucks and get more reliable dedicated server provider.

We have dedicated server starting from $79 in Netherlands.
As expected. Dedicating an entire physical server to a single user has to cost more simply because you're restraining the company from making more money out of it by splicing it up into dozens of VPSs, for instance. It's not cheap because it can't be.
I thought them to be much cheaper, though, honestly, but looking around now 80€ sounds like a fair price if the server manages to live up to its price tag.

There are some good offers to begin around 35€ on soyoustart with XEON-E3 and SSD, or on kimsufi with 2TB hard drives.
Always check CPU score on cpubenchmark, then memory and disks.

That sounds like an excellent setup to me for the price, doesn't it? I'm still pretty new to the whole world of hosting, so I'm not quite sure on how to compare my standard concept of "good rig" to the average rig of an average server.
In general, though, it's always better to go with an SSD setup unless you need a large amount of memory, correct?

Just to clear a misconception up being tossed around. A dedicated server at the same price of say, a VPS is NOT necessarily going to perform better. For example, if you go on over to WholeSale or Kimsufi and grab a $20 box, I guarantee a $20 DO VPS is going to outperform it easily.

Yes I agree, any VPS from a cloud hosting provider like DO will be better to host a WordPress website. But it's displayed on all the page of Kimsufi, their cheap dedicated servers are perfect for training, to be used as sandbox or for storage. If you need more, Soyoustart provide servers with SSD and IP failovers, and OVH even more.

You can find a plan with decent characteristics even at about $50-60. If you want cheaper dedicated server, check for some discounts like coupons or discounts you get when you choose to pay at once for half an year or one whole year...

Don't expect to get great hardware for the 50-100$ mark, you will need to spend atleast 150$ and above for decent hardware and network.

Linode or Hertner are great companies for dedicated servers, however it all depends your goals.
Sometimes a SSD VPS can be more than enough for your projects.
Please note VPS are still a shared environment.
