Do you offer other services alongside hosting plans?

Reselling hosting plans is pretty awesome, given how safe and profitable it can be, and it's easy to know what kind of product you're advertising. Obviously, though, such a good idea has promptly been exploited by anyone with the right means to promote that.
The only way to emerge nowadays is by adding value to your packages. Since it's hard to sell products alongside a hosting plan, adding side services like free support or website development would be a much more effective strategy.

So, what do you sell or give for free alongside your hosting plans, if you do at all?

We tried offering SEO at one stage. We used a 3rd party solutions and where it got us some sales it was a nightmare as people that didnt understand SEO couldnt understand why they wasnt on page one of google when they were paying for a service.

We decided to pull the solution and stick to what we know and do best.

I would say if you can find a product that fits your portfolio and works for you and attracts and generates more sales its a good thing. As hosting is getting harder and harder to sell these days and we are all making less endless money.

We have a group of on-demand web development and marketing specialists, which we contract when clients are interested in a more inclusive web solution. Truly, this might be considered reselling, but we consider this to be a way to match our hosting clients with other services they would like to receive as an all-in-one solution.

Yeah, customers can have irrealistic expectations for sure. Added solutions should improve sales, not hurt them, even though risks are to be taken if you don't want to sink in the endless sea of competition. That was for the best.

It sounds like a really good idea! Customers should feel safer and right at home by having the same provider for all their requested services. After all, most of them aren't really knowledgeable about the whole hosting/web development sector, so they would actively seek out people to do all of the dirty work for them.

2. Antivirus - Also you can provide the anti-virus like CalmAV which will scan the all contents on the accounts on the reseller server.

3. Free CMS Installation - There are various CMS which can be installed just on one click like WordPress, Joomla so you can provide Softaculous or Installtron application installer.

4. 24x7 support - You can provide the 24x7 server support.
