Hi, everyone. I am looking to use either Litespeed or Engintron as a plugin for cPanel after some research on the Internet.
My current utilization is for a Wordpress site. Some of the features I'm looking for is a good interface as well as excellent response times.

Do you guys have any experience with either Litespeed or Engintron ? Your sharing of information is much welcomed.

I will suggest go with Engintron (Ngnix). It can handle the thousands of concurrent processes. It is load balancing server with the high speed. It will have the high response time compare to LiteSpeed.

So you can go with it.

In terms of speed, how would it differ between the two plugins ?
I heard Ngnix does not support htaccess. Is this true ?
What setup are you using by the way ? Appreciate if you can share more information.

Litespeed is good, but it's not free you will need to purchase the license. You can install Nginx but yes it's true it won't support .htaccess. To get rid of this. you can configure Nginx as the proxy and keep apache in the background. It will support .htaccess and performance will also be improved.

LiteSpeed is an Apache HTTP/2 Drop in replacement that can read HTTP/2 configuration and .htaccess files. they have their own closed sourced SAPI and protocol for PHP (LSAPI) similar to FastCGI

Nginx is an async web server that meant to be used for high traffic it was built to solve the c10k problem Nginx can, of course, cache contents and spoon feed the connections making it better.

I see. Thanks for clarifying. In this sense, I feel like utilising Nginx as a proxy would certainly be better.
I heard that Nginx besides being free is very quick and easy to install as well.
Looks like we have a winner here, I guess. Nginx it is then.

I've been running Litespeed along with its license which is good. I have install nginx which has not supported for .htaccess to overcome this again configured nginx as proxy and well kept apache as in background then it has supported for .htaccess and came up along with better performance.
