It is the question of many people asking today? Ubuntu is understood as a computer operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux. Why should you choose Ubuntu?

What you already know about Ubuntu, the outstanding features of this operating system must also have wondered about the cause of Ubuntu being loved. Let's take a look at some of the main reasons as follows:

All free
Many users wonder what Ubuntu is and why it is offered entirely free? This operating system is created and developed by the community, so you do not need to pay any kind of expense when downloading. Therefore, you can go directly to the home page to download this software immediately and install it on your computer. After installation, you can use it to edit, copy or upgrade the software under the GNU GPL license.

Use IT resources for hardware.
If you need to know what Ubuntu is and what features it stands out from Windows, you will realize this very clearly when using this operating system. Ubuntu uses very few resources and has a high system performance. So, if you are using a laptop or PC with a poor configuration, Ubuntu is a great solution.

The reason why Ubuntu does this is that it has a large support community developed around the world. Therefore, new and old Ubuntu versions are always supported with application security updates for a long time.

If you install Windows, you will have to find all the drivers so that the hardware can work properly. However, when you install Ubuntu, you will get almost all Drivers from the computer. Therefore, if the Drivers have problems then through Update, you can fix it quickly and easily.

Therefore, you will not have to spend too much time on the forum describing and looking for the software you want. Instead, they have been divided according to their intended use within the Ubuntu Sofware Center application. So you can use it freely without worrying.

Runs many applications on the Windows operating system
Using the Ubuntu operating system, you can play almost all kinds of games available on Windows. This proves that Ubuntu will be able to expand and grow stronger shortly. Moreover, it can run all the things that the Windows operating system owns.

Hello,
This is an excellent presentation of Ubuntu, there is only a missing section about ubuntu flavors, because UbuntuBudgie is a good example of nice linux desktop UI.

And there is only a single mistake for me :
This operating system is created and developed by the community, so you do not need to pay any kind of expense when downloading. Therefore, you can go directly to the home page to download this software immediately and install it on your computer.
Debian is created and developed by the community, but Ubuntu is developed by Canonical (a company). But that's a good example of business model, they are making money without asking to pay for their operating system.

Debian is not similar to CentOS. Even though both are Linux distros, technically there are difference in features like package management. The CentOS comes with .rpm based packages and Debian is .deb based packages.

We should choose the Linux flavors based on our requirements.

Say, if we want to choose an Operating system for Linux website hosting server and to install a control panel, then CentOS suits well.

I want to install Debian on my server. Is it similar to Centos?
The main difference is how each distribution is developed.

The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common cause to create a free operating system. This operating system that we have created is called Debian.
The CentOS Linux distribution is a stable, predictable, manageable and reproducible platform derived from the sources of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
But it's only a matter of choice, both of them can be used for almost any usage.

Speed and performance of Ubuntu is simply exceptional when compared to windows. Security is top-notch and it`s GUI can be tough at start but it`s smooth once you know all the commands.

Ubuntu is a trusted OS by most of the Critical things due to it`s security and that`s the main reason IT people rely on it.

You could use Ubuntu because, of all the Linux distributions or derivatives, Ubuntu is the most User-Friendly, and as an alternative to Windows, you won’t be lacking in many areas other than gaming.
You could also use Ubuntu because it is:
  1. Secure
  2. Stable, due to the large support team and community assistance.
  3. Able to handle heavier loads than Windows for the same hardware speeds
  4. Speedy (not, I’ll add, too much more so than other distributions), due to the fact that it is full of less overall clutter than Windows systems.
  5. Action-packed.
  6. It has massive support for a wide variety of device drivers
  7. It has several pre-installed suites (including the LibreOffice suite, an open source alternative to MS Office)
All of that, along with the fact that it has a dedicated online community, and steady support, so you should always find the answer to whatever issue you have.

The question of ubuntu or not ubuntu should be posed on the basis of what the installed system is for. There are programs that you can use only on Windows systems, there are applications only for Linux systems. Of course, Ubuntu has no equal in performance and security.
