Who was your first VPS provider? Are they still around to today or not? If you moved to another provider, what are the main reasons?
I'm not 100% certain but I do believe my first VPS provider was Digitalocean...I chose it after I read some good reviews from an user. Although I am not use it now but it was a good experience with them.
What about you, who was your first VPS provider?

Kevhosting.com was mine! Site seems up still not sure if he's still running? But I picked him because he helped me with everything I ever knew about a vps and I only left because his prices sucked to high for me

Actually, those would have been $1.00 Dedicated Servers for the first month of service. :icon_rock:
It was advertised as First Month Free, but required a $1.00 setup fee to be able to have a payment with which to verify identity and fraud checking, etc...

Well my first provider was 2dollarvps I guess they closed soon, it was approx 9 years back when I used to have shared hosting, for fun I thought what is vps as I saw advertisement vps for $2 only, I bought it and it was fun to look at it. After some months company closed down due to income loss I guess.

Amazon (aws) free service. I am still using it though looking for a way to cancel it before they charge my card after the free year.

HostGator probably and I'm quite surprised it wasn't everybody's first here. Like even if you google VPS, HostGator is the first one to show up! They had pretty lame support at first to be honest. Sometimes it could take ages for them to reply to a question I had or if there's something wrong, over the years they got pretty good at their job and I'm glad I was there when it was half decent.

I think the first VPS I got was from SpartanHost. Pretty sure they're still around but I don't use VPS's as much as dedicated servers these days.

M first VPS provider is HostGator.com. I love the service since I opt for high-quality and superb performance. They do have unmetered Disk space & bandwidth. They do not have limitation on the amount or size of files directly pertaining to your website, nor they cap data transfer, and they have numerous free templates from which to choose. They also have sasy to Use Control Panel, that's why I don't have a hard time.

rootnerds.com and still now, for some not critical services , it's used.
It has been be recently bought by and Indian's company.
The quality of the service seems always the same (pretty good), while, in terms of customer service, it's really improved
