I'm not 100% certain but I do believe my first VPS provider was Digitalocean...I chose it after I read some good reviews from an user. Although I am not use it now but it was a good experience with them.

It was VPB, since 2014. Best price and service are always provided. I become one their agent now.

I Use hoshosting for 5 month. I have a very good experience with them.
I really recommend them for hosting your website they have a very wanderful support, and the pricing is very affordable.

Hostingsource.com and kvchosting.net are good VPS providers. Low prices are and full-featured plans.

My first VPS offsite was with Host & Protect and yup still around. Control panel is nice and simple.
