Hi there, I have question what you think about high quality VPS , for example 6 cores E5 v4 / 10GB ddr4 and dedicated drive 240 gb ssd or 4 tb hdd. What price for this VPS you can pay ?

Thank you for answers.

This looks like a premium VPS plan. I think its pricing ranges from $40 to $80 / month
It depends on what you wanted to offer to your clients.

Dedicated Drives have been offered by many companies for awhile. These offerings are normally called VDS or Semi-Dedicated Servers. As you reach the top end of these offerings, you often can buy a dedicated server for a similar price.

Hello, I wonder why do you need a dedicated drive ? There are numerous VPS hosts with good reputations that barely oversell ( or have good enough reputations to convince me that they do careful overselling ).

You could look at buyVMs dedicated KVM slices, a similar spec to your request is :

6 Cores @ 3.50+ GHz 24 GB Memory 480 GB SSD Unlim. 1000 Mbps $90.00 / month

These are dedicated Cores ( although the term is loosely used, i believe u get 100 % usage of 6 THREADS not cores ), which seem to suit your needs

True but newer SSD drives on RAID 10 can offer similar or better performances. I've recently seen a rise in NVMe SSD drive based VPS plans.

I personally use a NVMe SSD VPS from vmhaus, you could look into their plans too.

We want create our service with dedicated drive's in VPS, because it's more secure, more reliable and you know that only you use this drive and it 100% guaranteed.

A dedicated drive will not be more reliable, because that mean if your disk fail, you will loose all your data. If there are not offers like that anymore, it's because clustering is a better storage solution, with similar performance, fault-tolerance and it will also be easier for your customers to upgrade when they want.
If I purchase a VPS, I want to have a SSD storage with RAID 1 or RAID 10, to make sure my data will not be lost in case of failure.

If you have your security configured correctly, then a dedicated hard drive is no more secure then anything else. What it does provide is a dedicated SATA or SAS channel that provides better I/O to the VPS

If used old drive maybe yes you can lost data, but if use new drive for example ssd just stop write when has issue and you can do backup, on higher tariffs we do double drive's for raid, but if you want 100% safe your data you must do backup.

It's not related to the drive age, brand new NVMe disks fail sometimes, and even when you are using a RAID, so that's why selling dedicated drive is not really the best idea in 2017. You will have better performance by using a shared NVMe drive than a dedicated ssd. But you are right the best solution is to backup, because RAID is not backup

We using verified supplier, and haven't issue with this new SSD. I think better dedicated drive than shared drive or shared NVMe.
Dedicated NVMe 5x faster than SSD drive, To recoup NVMe need more client's , and you share IOPS, also chance fail NVMe too will be higher if using for share.

Not same , because if this drive use 1 client , they have 1x chance for fail , when same use 5-7 client's this drive has 5x or 7x more chance for fail.

Yes Raid 10 good idea for sharing, for dedicated ssd good raid 1 , we provide this .

Dedicated better than shared.

Disk failure risk is not related to the amount of users, a disk can fail after a month or after 10 years, but there is no way to know if there is an issue with a disk.
I do not say your offers are not good, I just think, it's loosing the main feature of VPS to no provide storage with fault-tolerance, and with RAID 1 it will be very expensive and will probably cost more than a soyoustart dedicated server.

It is possible to get a dedicated ssd drive for a VPS, it will cost you twice or maybe more than a shared ssd drive.

If sell vps with HDD, then yes Raid need 100%, but single ssd has much more fault-tolerance than single hdd, and if ssd has some issue they just stop write to drive.
if compare singe ssd and raid 1 ssd , not too much difference. Better do backup

Hello Denis ,

Yes your right but it's if use cheap SSD then you will have more % that this ssd has problem with controller.

For backup need use only special backup space , because raid it's not backup.
