Dell vs HP monitor?

I am having a Samsung monitor but to be honest the quality of image is not really good and I want to change to HP or Dell monitor. It was a 21 niche monitor. What would you recommend Dell or HP monitor? why?

I am using LG monitor from 5 years, no issues till date. Its an LED monitor with enerrgy star rating. The model is LG FLATRON E2060. Comes with D-Sub, VGA ports as standard. Power consumption is quite less and there is no glaring at all. It can handle full hd videos as well without much issues. Image quality is quite good.

I use almost 18-20 hours a day continuosly and i never felt eye issues due to monitor. Of course, I tweak out even hardware lol. Dell is a good brand, but not sure about their monitors. HP? Not sure, but I hate hp laptops due to over hearting and their glossy screens, its almost like mirror reflecting our own image.

Check the models and get something with energy ratings, depending on where you are living. Here, in India power costs are too high in some place, so for me energy efficient hardware is crucial.

Suggest you to check some benchmarks at tomshardware forum, if you are concerned about technical specs.

I was using HP Monitor from 3 years. I have a samsung monitor as well as LG. But I do not find any difference between them. Rarely any of them gave any problems. Unless you are moving them often.

I took use a 27" Samsung and it works and looks great after 4 years of use. Maybe you just have a low end monitor of Samsungs and its time to upgrade? Is your's LCD/LED? How old is it?

Dell, hands down.

They are one of the few manufacturers whom will replace monitors when there is only one dead pixel, most others want 3+ dead pixels before they will even consider it.

That said, avoid NewEgg like the plague when purchasing a monitor as they have return policies which require multiple dead pixels or they will charge you a restocking fee.
