Client asked me today what is the best router for 30 Private vLans, 23x /24 subnets and about 20 cross connects with a 30G uplink. I'm more into corporate level routers and such well over 20k I have no idea about budget routers could anyone tell me some budget routers that would sustain his infrastructure. He has about 20 cabinets with us right now all running on switches and no routers. He is trying to create his own core / network any information would be ideal for me to pass along to him.
Note* I've already recommended him the Mx104 and the ASR 1002 routers they are all out of his price range Mx104 is in the $12,000 and the ASR 1002 is in the $4,000 all out of his price range.
