Have you ever used both text editors are Notepad++ and Sublime Text, which one you will "fall in love with"? and why? I would hear your advice and it will save my time because I didn't use them before and just heard of them on this forum. I need some comparisons, what are pros and cons of each one?
Waiting for your your comments!

I vote for Notepad++ and I have been using it for years, it is a great tool for webmasters use. Notepad ++ extensions including open-source support for multiple programming languages such as HTML, PHP, C #, Java. Notepad ++ works in the Microsoft Windows environment. In other words, you can run Notepad ++ on Linux or Mac OS X software by using Wine software.

I have not used Sublime Text yet hence I don't have ideas about this editor tool.

Sublime for me, multiple selections, find/replace, horizontal pasting, and the overall look and feel I don't use many of the features it can do everything you ever wanted in a text editor and more. Don't think I will ever use anything else.

I suggest you download the trial versions and sample for yourself. ;)

Here is how I see it.

Anything web interface related, eg: HTML, PHP etc, - Notepad ++

Anything programmatic, eg: Java/javscript, JSON, APIs - Sublime.

Yeah this can be one of reasons why Notepad ++ is well known more than Sublime for web designers and webmasters while Sublime is used more by programmers and web hosting experts.

Is it really the case though? :) Most front end designers that are active on Github use sublime/atom because they're on a mac, and most (good) front end designers are usually active on Github/Codepen, so i think in the design community sublime is more popular. I used sublime myself because i can find many things on their package manager.

Since tried Sublime Text I saw it has lesser functions than Notepad++
Perhaps, I have not seen advantages yet of Sublime Text.

Sublime text editor is what I vote for. This maybe off topic, however I also recommend Atom editor. It does provide a lot of function. I tried it and never went back to sublime.

The best thing in regard to the Atom text editor is that, if you add extension to it you can directly mirror your files on your server. When the file you currently working on is save it will also save onto the server. Best of all you can also use SFTP and not just FTP. However, they are still a new editor, the problem is sometimes they do have bug and you have to work around the bug. I have bug where I can't open the I.O when search monkey initiate ATOM. Thus I have to work around it.

I use sublime most of the time but I think it is just because it's much more visually appealing than notepad++. When it comes to functionality I still think sublime is better it has more functions than notepad++ which is why I use it more often than I use sublime.

When you need to just do easy or simple things, you can use Notepad++. Its design is simple and easy to use and also has many options to choose from. It commonly used by web designers. However, sublime has more appealing design. When you need more advanced and technical use as a web hosting experts or programmers. It depends on the users technical demand.

I have used both text editors which are Notepad++ and Sublime Text because I am an I.T student and being an I.T Student requires to do lots of coding.
Of course the type of text editor that I really love to use is the Sublime Text Editor, why? because you can drag the folder where it has all the codes into the sublime and edit it. Also sublime text editor has a nice interface which you can change the theme into the theme you want and when you want to have a darker screen in doing codes, I suggest you to use sublime for which the interface menu of it is black. You can really feel the presence of being a developer or an I.T person because of the text colors which is really an eye catching to the user.
Sublime has an auto complete which it will help you to type only few characters in coding.

In Notepad++, it has also auto complete like a sublime does have but the default theme interface of the Notepad++ is color white and if you want to change it, you can change it manually and you can also change the text color manually. Unlike sublime text editor, if you want to change the theme, the text color changes too so for me, I really prefer in using Sublime Text Editor rather than the Notepad++.

It just really depends on the user which of the both text editors he/she comfortable to use it and help to improve his/her coding skills.
