I am planning to start a new ecommerce website and seeking advice on which control panel will be good, stable, easy to configure and simple for managing an ecommerce website.

Thanks in advance.

So your title states "Web Hosting Control Panels" but in the body of your post it almost seems like you are referring to the actual billing systems.

Can you clarify? Are you thinking WHMCS/ClientEXEC? or are you talking about WHM/cPanel / Interworx

Your not to clear about what you want to achieve.

Ecommerce management such as Woo commerce for managing your store and orders or a control panel for managing the server ?

Hey Max,

My top 5 paid hosting control panels are

cPanel
Plesk
DirectAdmin
H-Sphere
Helm

But I used the most are cPanel, Plesk and Directadmin, easiest control panel to manage things on it is cPanel, for a stable hosting panel, you should go with Plesk and simple to control hosting addons and configurations is Directadmin.

Just my 0.02 cents!

I am also using cPanel. When I bought hosting package, I was given cPanel account. Then I did not kow there were other hosting control pannel, I thought everyone used cPannel. can you tell me how does cpannel compares to other hosting control pannel. Is it possible to change my control pannel myself, or I get it by default (the one associated my my host).

I am using cPanel. When I was buying a hosting package, I did not have a choice, I got cPanel by default. Since all of my websites are hosted with the same host, I manage my websites through cPanel. Can I switch to another Control Panel whole staying with the same host. The only control panel that I have experience is cPanel, how does Plesk or DirectAdminn compares with cPane?

No it is quite clear about what it did. I am asking about the best paid hosting controls to host for an ecommerce site which I am selling my digital products on it, it is using woocommerce visual composer for Wordpress cms, I feel it run pretty slow now. I am using cPanel for this site, don't know if I change cPanel to other hosting panels then it can improve performance for my site or not.

cPanel should be more than adequate... Have you optimized your site? Losslessly compressed image files? What have you done to improve performance?

cPanel + WHMCS has been #1 in my experience over the decade.

Only two paid hosting control panels can be in top:

1. Plesk
2. cPanel

Why you consider Plesk is number #1, better than cPanel?
or its just by you are familiar to Plesk more than cPanel?

Because upcoming Plesk Onyx is really great release with stunning features like Git, CGroups, DNSSEC, Node.js, Ruby and Docker support. These features, Windows support and great community makes Plesk number one on the market.
Forgot to say - Plesk has the best UI.

When it comes to Plesk, as long as you do not require support outside of their community. Parrallels is one of the worst companies when it comes to support and charges. They have a habit of acquiring software and bleading the product dry with support fees.

You are behind the times. Parallels and Plesk are different companies.
I suggest you educate and update yourself, the following is right from the footer of plesk.com

As a former member of the Parallels group of companies, our background is global, innovative and diverse. January 2016 was the right time for Plesk to become a separate business, enabling us to accelerate development cycles, drive innovation and focus on the needs of our partners, customers and employees.

Plesk is "rebranded" to Odin but still owned by Parallels. It is great for those who require a gui to point and click everything to get things done and are afraid of Linux and don't mind the extra costs of a Windows platform.

Such a long time ago they still have a footer on every one of their pages indicating they are Parallels? This lack of detail or laziness would concern me if we were still using their products.

OMG! Odin, a business unit of Ingram Micro Inc.
This automation software division was sold by Parallels to Ingram Micro long time ago, and now has nothing to do with Parallels or Plesk.

cPanel -> Centos / Redhat / Cloudlinux
Plesk -> Debian / Ubuntu / Centos / Redhat / Cloudlinux / Windows

I have never used Plesk + Windows

Plesk will be a good alternative for a WordPress based website with the WordPress toolkit to keep it secure and with Nginx + php7, you should have good performances.

Hi Max,

Here are the top 5 control panels:

Plesk
cPanel
H-Sphere
DirectAdmin
Helm

What I personally recommend is Plesk, as it is the easiest control panel. You can also opt for software like RackNap which provides Plesk automation for web hosting and subscription-based businesses. It is integrated with Plesk API, giving you seamless management of tasks.

You should go for cPanel . Its more use friendly for any free control panel you might get confused. Or hire a system admin like me :) .
