Cpanel has Softaculous Apps Installer then Sentora has Sentastico module, automatically install applications series with just a few clicks.

Sentastico supports many applications, including a number of popular names, such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, phpBB, PrestaShop, Magento ...

So after making few test with sentora, it look good but php5.4.16 is not very safe, and it's really slower than php7.
But for a free control panel, it have some cool features. Not sure what is the best between Sentora, VestaCP and CWP.

Thanks for the tutorial, I haven't use sentora for a long time, but I will setup a VPS with it today to see the update done and the new features !
I haven't seen sentora being used in so long, great tutorial, will favorite this for later in case I need to refer someone to it.
Thanks you guys!

I bought some VPS packages from different hosting companies and hosting my websites on them. I have a VPS to check for configurations and hosting panels/softwares. Just trying to install somethings to find out which is best for me.

That's the only way to find a control panel with the features we need.
I have tested again VestaCP and Centos-Webpanel to make a small comparison, and CWP is really the only one to offer performances features, and I will try it again as soon as a stable version is released. I hope they will try to work also on the design because if it's not worst and WHM, it's the same user experience.
VestaCP and Sentora are not bad but the php version is really too old, and there are not enough updates to run a VPS safely with them.

I waited for a long time to see final or stable version of CWP but it has not released.

You are right, after installed these hosting panels, we often have to upgrade php and mysql to higher versions and some other features also need to be upgraded.

Of course I could upgrade php and mysql properly with Sentora or VestaCP

for example if you want to upgrade php and mysql to version 5.6.X on your VestaCP on CentOS, you can do as follows

PHP
Code:
rpm -Uvh http://mirror.webtatic.com/yum/el6/latest.rpm
yum install yum-plugin-replace
yum replace php-common –replace-with=php56w-common
MySQL –
Code:
rpm -Uvh http://dev.mysql.com/get/mysql-community-release-el6-5.noarch.rpm
(edit if you have to ) nano /etc/yum.repos.d/mysql-community.repo
yum update mysql-server
service mysqld restart
chkconfig mysqld on
mysql_upgrade
This will update your php to php 5.6.X
And MySQL to MySQL 5.6.X

For Sentora, you can go their homepage for more guides.

Hope it helps!
