What type of VPS do I need for burst traffic?

Hey all,

Just wondering what kind of VPS would I need to host a single html page?

More Information:

will be using plesk
previous stats show roughly an average of 10,000 views an hour (which breaks down to 2.7 views/sec)
all jpg/png/jquery/javascript will be hosted through a cdn

Again, this is just a single html page request viewed multiple times.

My Current Config is:
4 core / 4gb memory which I know is extremely overkill, but i want to know how low I can go before it affects my response time (I need fast ms speeds)

This is roughly 25k visitor a day and since you need Plesk, you could go simply with the Plesk requirements.

To be safe, i would go with 2Core/1GB RAM and nginx to serve your html page but you could use even lower resource than that using a custom LAMP setup.

For a single html page with Plesk 2GB RAM are enough, by using cloudflare you can even cache totally your page and make the page load faster all around the world with less request to your vps

Hello,

I had a quick look on plesk minimum requirements it seems 1Gb is enough (2Gb recommanded if hosting many websites) considering you have a lot of views maybe you should go for 2Gb.
