What are pros and cons of price comparison software as Mozenda? Are they trustable? It is worthy to invest time and money on them?

I'm looking to know if there's some good software to scan my e-ecommerce competitors and my sector to find same products than mine and their prices.

Thanks

In all honesty, I really can't give you the answer you are looking
for as I have never had a need for the type of software you're
referring to, however, I do know Mozenda does have a forum.

It may be beneficial to create an account and see what other
actual Mozenda users have to say about it.

Unless another WMS user is an actual user, you're really only
going to get guesses and assumptions about that particular
software.

Again, I know this was not the answer you are looking for,
however, as I said, checking THEIR forum would be your
best bet...

I am not familiar with Mozenda. If you're serious about doing price comparison in a way that actually makes sense, you probably have to invest into developing a custom data extraction and data science software solution.

You will have to figure out what data you need exactly, from what sources and how you want it to be delivered. The software should collect, process, analyze and visualize your extracted data. In other words, you have to automate the process and discover patterns in your competitors pricing strategy. Applying certain data science algorithms to the data you extract, you can actually boost your company's growth significantly.

BTW: You also have to understand the legalities of "web scraping" so you don't get into trouble.

I would try with an already on the market software before. In case of lacks in its scraping I could evaluate a costumized software.

Consider also that a study of an already on the market software could help me to better understand what to search and how.

Mozenda has the limit that it is working only on Windows. I hope to find some other good ones.

I don't really know which legal conflicts could exist about scraping. Search engines take Web pages and use them for a big business. I don't think this is very far from scraping prices from pages.
