How to check, send and receiving emails on both Google Apps and Microsoft Outlook

I bought Google Apps to send and receive emails via Google mail. But I am familiar to use Microsoft Outlook to check mail on my PC, since changed to Google Apps I could not send or receive emails from outlook. Is there a way to check, send or receiving emails on both Google Apps and Microsoft Outlook?

Here's instructions/ my screenshots on how to merge your mails between Google Apps and your Outlook

On your Google Apps, go to Settings

In your Outlook, edit your email account and set as following info.
