Should I put up a photo of myself on a blog?

You really should put up a photo of yourself on a blog. In that way, your readers will be able to identify that your content is made by a reliable source and they will not be discourage. The readers will be confident in copying your content because they know that the source is a true person. They will come back again your site knowing that you have the credibility to post such contents.

I own two blogs, on one I use my photo and on the other I use a generic avatar.
I can tell you that on the one I use my photo people are much more interactive, emphasis on MUCH MORE.
I think that it builds some kind of weird internet rapport with your readers if they can see your face. That's just my opinion.

You should better put some photos on your blog. Sometimes it gives a points on every audience you get by giving them credentials that you are true. Audience will have more confidence on interacting with you and it could help you build relationship to them specially some advices or some conversations depends on the topic you make.

If it's a personal blog or blog of brand built around your personality, than putting a photo of yourself is highly recommended.
