Isn't it free to promote your sites on Social media? Then I would say "Just do it".
Don't promote using the same post every single day, of course, but maybe once every few months, get a few new people, who may then spread the word as well and so on.
But it's better to get yourself a few banners for your sites and see if you can place them on someone else their site. If you could get it on Youtube for example, you could get a lot more visitors, but for a site that popular, you're gonna have to cough up more money than you'll profit from it.
