Just paid for backlink services

I just spent $5 on a backlink service that promised 50 high rank backlinks ranging from PR6-PR10.

I didnt really believe it to be honest so doing it as a test really.

What you are most likely going to get are forum profile links from forums that have higher PageRank homepages. These types of links are sometimes referred to as "Angela's" links. There was a woman who used to sell a $5 membership newsletter where every month she sent you a list of websites where you could go create these types of links.

If it ends up being forum profile links, then you should know that these links are essentially worthless unless you are going to stack them in tiers with more spam. Even then, their value is questionable. And it is also considered a link scheme by Google just so you know. So, if Google knew you were doing it (if they detect it algorithmically), they might demote your site.

When you want to run tests like these, I suggest you use a test website and not your money site. If spending the $5 works on your test site, then spend the extra $5 to do it on your money site. Chances are, you are going to discover that most $5 link building services (regardless of where you buy them) are going to be more likely to hurt your website than to help it.

If you buy enough of these services, and it turns out that these links end up being worthless links or nearly worthless links, you will soon begin to realize you are better off just focusing on getting one "good" link at a time. And you are very unlikely to get a "good" link for $5. Good paid links cost more than that.

Like Ted said, what these jackholes sell is profile links or sometimes they create new Web 2.0 properties. The home page might be a PR 6-10, but the page your link shows up on is a PR 0.

They use the fact that many people do not understand it is PAGErank and not DOMAINrank to prey on people.

It's just another dirty part of the backlink industry.

Fiverr is the last place to buy links. In fact, I would be very cautious about buying links in any public setting. Googlers can easily infiltrate a marketplace like that.

LOL I tried to resell this guy on another micro gig site. His services and timing was so bad I had to quit re-selling his stuff. Can't believe he's actually still selling this junk 2 years later. I should've been selling "High PR Links" haha Apparently this guy has cleaned up. 43k+ positive reviews multiplied by $5. Over $200k in just positive reviewers. Thats not counting the people that don't review. Whoa!!!! All in junk SEO. wow!

The goal in link building is to acquire links that pass large amounts of PageRank to the page you are trying to get ranked high. Those are the links that boost ranking the most.

Every internet marketer knows how hard it is to just go out and find places where they can get those links.

You have a lot of options on how to try to get them. There are white hat ways to get them. There are black hat ways to get them and there are gray hat ways that are in between the two. Unfortunately, the easiest ways to get those links is to purchase them or to use some black hat method to get them.

The white hat way is the hardest way which is why so many people resort to using methods that Google does not approve of, like webspam for example.

And if you have the right software tools, then webspam is incredibly easy and incredibly cheap to produce. That is why you have a thousand sellers on places like Fiverr.com selling webspam SEO gigs. You can actually create webspam profitably for $5. You cannot create white hat or even close to white hat links for $5. Well, you can, but it is rare, very rare. Spam is ten times easier and cheaper.

So on places like Fiverr.com now, the trend is to perform a black hat SEO gig and somehow disguise it as a legit SEO tactic that will bring you results. In reality, the vast majority of gigs (based on my experience and knowledge of SEO) are more likely to hurt your rankings over time instead of helping them.

One thing that you might find funny is that often times, the people selling webspam SEO gigs are also selling "bad link removal" gigs. It is kind of humorous. First they will sell you the spam. Once your site is effed up, then they will sell you the "bad link removal" gig to disavow the very same spam they just created for you.

If the guy ive bought the service from is running a tier 1 and tier 2 service, could this mean I wont get penalised? As long as he does it well?
