Hidden Backlink is harmful or useful?

I post about blogger gadget and template.So I use a hidden backlink (visibility:hidden

in blogger widget codes. I think that when someone use my widgets on their site i will get backlink. I use it for backlink. Because everyone want to remove credit link from widgets or templates.

Now, my question is that, this backlinks are useful or not? These backlinks can plays important role for my blog's seo?

Generating hidden backlinks are black hat techniques which is very much beneficial to rank your keywords faster in search engines and also drive good traffic to your website. But beware of Google updates, as it can throw your website nowhere in Google searches. The technique is not preferred by Google and your website can be penalized for this.

The technique you are proposing might lead to a penalty. Most often these kind of issues are penalized through search engine algorithms. Sometimes there are also possibilities for manual review. The page you are linking with the widget might be removed from the index. On extreme cases, the whole site would be removed from the index. Take a note on this, you don't have to take this risk. There are many other white hat SEO methods to acquire quality back links.

Harm of hidden backlinks

It might be harmful for your own website to use any hidden links, since search engines will penalize the site for it. Is it really worthy to use hidden links instead of some white hat techniques, if the last ones are safer?
