It's not a big benefit, it will just make it easier to spot trends in traffic volume from sites that bring you traffic. You'll also be able to access Webmaster Tools search data directly from the Google Analytics report.
So if you're not getting any search engine traffic from Google then linking the 2 won't have any benefit. It's all about data, there's no seo benefit.

Yes, when you only add analytics then you cant see Queries, Average Position of keywords for that you need to login webmaster then that data will display and when you integrated webmaster in analytics then that data will display in analytics

Google analytics is important to track visitors to check which city or country have visited your website. By checking your daily visitors you can improve your seo on website to get more traffic on website. If you are getting 5-10 visitors daily on your site when monitoring traffic in analytics. You need to work on seo keywords etc for boosting traffic on website. Also when you do adwords campaign for your website to generate leads it will be help to understand goals on your website.
Google webmaster is important to because you can check for broken urls, submit sitemap etc. So everyone who have their own website should have google analytics and webmaster account. As well as bing webmaster.
