Which web tracker or analytics service do you use to track visitors on your websites?
I'm currently using Google Analytics but I am looking for alternatives.

On all my websites, I use Matomo (previsouly Piwik) to track my visitors. It can be installed easily on any web server (cPanel, Plesk or just with Apache/Nginx), it provide the same features than Google Analytics without impacting your website performance (async javascript loading).
It can be customized to track visitors even with an ad-blocker on their web browser and in Europe, you do not need to add a banner on your website to alert your visitors about cookies usage (it's always painful to integrate properly a banner with your website design).

A demo is available here : https://demo.matomo.org/

Google Analytics is still the clear winner in the web analytics space by far. Here’s what the web analytics market share looks like:

Other alternatives like Quantcast, StatCounter, Omniture, Piwik, Chartbeat, Clicky, and MixPanel pale in comparison.

Hope this helps !
