ASP and PHP are both programming languages that are commonly used to create websites. Unlike the usual static html web pages, ASP and PHP websites are more dynamic and can allow users to interact and exchange information using the website's databases.

PHP and ASP are similar in function as they can perform nearly as well as each other.*Both PHP and ASP are great solutions for most projects that need the server power and capabilities available with them. Both ASP and PHP have several tools and available options with their GUI options.PHP is capable of being installed quickly and easily with many tools server side which can include image manipulation, uploading, email systems and much more. ASP is designed to require registration of components and modules to make each tool possible.

PHP and ASP both are programming language. According to me, PHP is comparatively easy rather than ASP for making an attractive, dynamic and search engine friendly website. PHP also provides free tools where ASP doesn't provide any kind of free tools.

According to me PHP is very easy and also best than ASP. PHP is totally free. And ASP requires both first and ongoing prices for maintenance and debugging. PHP is very faster than ASP. So if you have an app that executes lots of queries or is regularly permitted, it would be great to use a language that was further capable. When it comes down to it, PHP is the generally winner in terms of price, good speed, platform compatibility, & receptiveness of its developer community.

I do not think we must think one is better than the other one. It depends on how good you are in one of them. It all come down to skills in a language. If you are doing web developing you use HTML. CSS,PHP and Javascript so you must know little from all.

PHP is the most useful languages for Web development. Most Web applications are very easy to integrate with PHP such as Ajax, Flash and some more offering best website visibility.

I can say that php is easier because you can write in a "procedural" while ASP is all objects then more complex for a beginner.
but you must not think that it is less powerful, in fact many web software were written in php (example worpress, joomla, facebook)

asp and asp.net still have a great framework.

Both are easy but majority of people prefer PHP as it has broader scope.
