Which is the better tool to program a website ASP.Net MVC or PHP?

When making a website, how do you consider the effective programming language to use in the development stage? ASP.Net MVC or PHP? Both are great to use in web development, but the difference is like night and day. Which is easier to manage? Who has a greater demand for programming? Which pays the most in terms of profit? What are the deciding factors to consider when choosing?

If you are completely looking for an opensource platform then, it would better to go with LAMP [Linux,APache,MySQL,PHP] stack.

- The key features with a Linux hosting, will have a greater perfomance.
- Have reduced cost compared to windows.
- Windows servers would be bit sluggish due to high resource usage and have buggy hosting control panels.
- Lot of CMS and other web development open source softwares and PHP based frameworks available.
- Linux + PHP , easily manageable and lost of great hosting control panels available.
- Lot of developers,freelancer,SEO developers, Administrators available at your choice.
- Lot more plugins and themes available so the scope of customization is bit higher for any PHP based website.

I will go with PHP, It is the better way.
