I have a small server and I'm looking for a hosting control panel license. I've heard good things about Plesk and DirectAdmin, but I'm not sure which one is right for me. Can anyone help me decide?

Based on facts that plesk is the same company who own another panel WHM cPanel and they reised the prices every year, i would not recommend using their products really. It is a matter of time where they will raise the price for plesk licenses aswell.

Thank you for sharing your perspective on Plesk. I'm interested in understanding more about your experience and concerns. Could you please provide more details about any specific instances where you've seen Plesk raise their prices, or any issues you've personally encountered with their products? This would help me better evaluate my options between Plesk and DirectAdmin. Additionally, if you have any alternative recommendations based on your experience, I'd appreciate hearing about those as well.

Since whm cpanel was sold to oakley company the whm cpanel prices were increased by 500-600% per license, and the same company owns plesk aswell, therefore there is just a matter of time when they will increase the price for plesk aswell. If you need a panel for customers then directadmin and or interworx, if you need only for your sites then fastpanel its free and great panel.

With Plesk, you can install ready-made systems for your website via extensions. You can also use docker images, which allows you to run real applications. With DirectAdmin, you'll have to install external plugins. Some examples are installatron.com and softaculous.com.

As I know, Plesk does indeed offer a wide range of extensions that allow users to easily install ready-made systems like content management systems (CMS) and various web applications. Additionally, Plesk provides Docker support, enabling users to run custom applications in containers, which can be beneficial for those with specific requirements.

Both are good but for easier with beginners, I would suggest going with Plesk.

Plesk is owned by the same company as cPanel so I'd avoid them personally, I do like DirectAdmin or Interworx though.

Plesk is far more powerful than DirectAdmin in terms of UI, functionality & performance.
