I am recommended to Directadmin to use it on a VPS but I heard more good feedback on this forum for Plesk. I want to have a secure VPS and control panel, between Directadmin and Plesk, which is more secure and why? any you guys show me any reasons why one of 2 is better?
Hello
Philippe Gaucher,
DirectAdmin is known for being more user-friendly, while
Plesk is more powerful and feature-rich. Directadmin is also less expensive than Plesk. However, Plesk can be used on a wider range of operating systems, including
Windows and
Linux. So if you're looking for a
budget-
friendly option,
Directadmin is the way to go. But if you need more features and are willing to pay,
Plesk is the better choice.
There are a few key differences between
Directadmin and
Plesk regarding
security. Directadmin offers more
granular control over user permissions, meaning that you can
restrict what users can access and make changes. On the other hand,
Plesk has a more comprehensive
set of
security features that includes
two-
factor authentication and
intrusion detection. In terms of which one is more
secure, it really depends on your needs and preferences.
Both control panels offer a variety of
security features, but it ultimately depends on how you configure them. If you properly
configure either control panel, you should achieve similar levels of security. For example,
Directadmin offers
two-
factor authentication and
password recovery, while Plesk provides
malware scanning and intrusion detection. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide which platform offers the level of security you're
comfortable with.
Finally, both
Directadmin and
Plesk offer secure hosting options, so it comes down to personal
preferences and
needs. Thus, I hope the information above helps you understand which control panel is more secure from Directadmin & Plesk.
