I have two server computers. I want to provide 1GB of free space for bloggers. Who can tell me what management software can realize my idea?

To meet some requirements:

1. Users are required to register by themselves, and each user can only apply for one space

2. Be able to view the space occupied by users, CPU and bandwidth usage

3. Users can only use 1GB of space at most.

As isix said Vestacp is a pretty solid panel. However, if you want them to register by themselves you need a provisioning solution. I am not aware of a free one that works with Vestacp. You can do more research on it. My advice is to spare the extra money and go for WHMCS. It is the industry standard. It also works with alot of panels out there.

Vestacp is deadpooled, is not maintained anymore, you may try fastpanel.direct is great panel aswell and it's free. Or you may try hestiacp a vestacp fork demo here: https://demo.hestiacp.com:8083/login/

Web Hosting is a type of Internet hosting service that allows you as an individual or an organization to make websites accessible via the Web. I'm using Ajenti there are four products Ajenticore, Ajenti 2, Ajenti 1.x and Ajenti V. Ajenti 1.X is a Server Admin Panel used by users to administer their servers.

Features of Ajenti
  • Easy installation
  • Existing configuration
  • Caring
  • Batteries included
  • Extensible
  • Modern
  • Easy web hosting
  • Multiple Language support
  • CLI interface

You can use cyberpanel or virtualmin which can help you to manage disk space for user and also show the bandwidth user use for account.

When it comes to Free Web Hosting Panels, I think CentOS Web Panel is the best.

But we do not use it at FincoHost because it is not opensource. That's the major disadvantage I see in it. I feel closed source software is too risky especially when it is free.

Get 1 major issue and you have no choice but to wait for the developer to fix it.

We use ISPConfig. I feel ISPConfig is targeted towards developers. But is has a nice plugin interface and with that you can create plugins to make life easier for your users without touching the core code. This is what FincoHost uses

I see this thread is a bit old, but the question is evergreen and someone else might find this useful. Offering 1GB of free space to bloggers is a generous idea! There are several software options to manage server space efficiently. You could look into solutions like WHMCS or Virtualmin, although they may not all be free.

You can use server management software like cPanel or Plesk to achieve your goals. They allow user registration, space allocation control, and monitoring of server resources. Ensure to set quotas to limit users to 1GB of space each.

Given their recent monstrous price increase, it's odd to recommend them to someone looking for a free solution.
If I were to recommend a paid solution, I would recommend the significantly less expensive ispmanager panel. At a much lower cost, it provides almost the same set of features as expensive Plesk and cPanel.

For your requirements, you can consider ISPConfig. It's an open-source hosting control panel that allows user self-registration, monitors server resources, and lets you set individual quotas for users. It aligns well with your goal of providing 1GB of free space for bloggers.
