How pagefile fixes the windows crash issue?

The windows VPS is crashing everytime while RDP.

After enabling the pagefile it's fixed, Can someone please explain how enabling pagefile fixes the windows crash.

Your system may have encountered with low physical memory (RAM) or an" Out of memory errors "caused the problem.
The page file acts as a software emulation of Random Access Memory (RAM) . Enabling the page file settings will create a specified amount of virtual memory. In turn, such space will be used to compensate until a few RAM is released by the running applications.

I am aware of swap memory of linux so is it like a swap memory?

The page file creates virtual memory which help to run the system when it lacks the physical ram to run programs. So it can maintain sessions without crashing the system.
