Hi everyone,
I have several websites that hosting on a VPS (installed Apache) using CLI to manage. I want to make my work a litter easier by using a friendly user interface. I heard more of cPanel or Plesk, not sure which one is good for me, my budget is very limited for this. Any suggestions?

cPanel is obviously the industry's best or one of the industry's best web hosting automation control panel. However, I suggest everyone to try CentOS Web Panel (CWP) which can be used on a free license and is well integrated and fully compatible compatible with CentOS.

Define your security concerns please @miken. Do you just have a general feeling and concern that any software might be insecure, because if it is that, we all have. Without going into details, as this is something that system administrators and developers should access, CentOS Web Panel looks as secure as any other serious automation project.

I consider free panels have less support hence it can have more problems than paid panels. I tried to search "Centos web panel exploit" on Google and found some notices there, not sure I should concern about that or not.

You could have a look at these, I can't recommend any as I usually use cPanel:

sentora.org
vestacp.com
ajenti.org
centos-webpanel.com
webmin.com
github.com/mustafaramadhan/kloxo
virtualmin.com
github.com/zpanel
ehcp.net
vhcs.net
blueonyx.it
freshmeat.sourceforge.net/projects/alternc
alternc.com/Home-en

Hopefully one of those will prove suitable for your needs.
Let us know which ones you test and what your thoughts about them are.

Hi, you can try demo ISPmanager , they can work with letsencrypt SSL and Cloudflare.

If you need free, thy Vesta CP or CentOS Web Panel .

For testing better use clean VPS , if you haven't i can give you kvm vps (1 core , 512 mb ram , 20 gb ssd) for 10 days in AMS for free, just send PM to me

CentOS Web Panel is something you can try which is free. Otherwise you can try cPanel Solo which is for similar kind of needs and can less be worried about security flaws in the control panel.

If this is only for your use I suggest vestacp
Its
1. Very easy to install
2. Easy to use
About the security concern you need to know what you are doing no matter if its vesta, cpanel or plesk

Thanks

There are lots of opensource control panels available. Some of them that are free can be seen below:

Webmin/Virtualmin:
+ Advanced control panel with lots of modules for installation available
+ Perfectly proper for administration of a large VPS
+ Small amount of RAM required for it to run
+ Easily available upgrades
+ Mobile friendly
+ Allows you to avoid the SSH command line

ISPConfig:
+ Free to download
+ Compatible with many Linux operating systems
+ Advanced control panel with lots of modules available for installation
+ Has an app for Android
+ Supports different languages
+ Different access levels
+ Possibility to manage one or more servers from a single control panel

Centmin Mod:
+ Free to download
+ Requires a very low amount of server resources
+ Easy to manage via the command line
+ Plenty of functionality and add-ons available
+ The best choice for several websites

These are just some of them. You can check it out, however, I recommend to use the control panel you are most familiar with.
