For me, there are 4 features of any website:
1.Good Theme (Simple Design)
2.Font Size (Medium)
3.Faster Speed (Site must be load within 4-5 seconds)
4.Friendly & Quality Content

Ps: Don't put too many ads on the website

I like sites that are clear and easy to navigate (user friendly), but I often fall in love with websites that use visually captivating elements such as a great, well thought-out logo, or a slider style hero header showcasing the company/brand positives. No ads is much more professional to me, as well.

I also hate Google Adwords style advertising on any commercial website. I can understand if the owner is advertising some of his other offers or complementary ads that do not compete with the subject matter of a particular page (but are relevant to it), but if anyone has too many ads, even a free info site where advertising supports the expense, I often close that tab or hit the back page button to get back to the search results and seek something more professional.

I am a little different though, I may wait all day for a web page to load (well, not literally, I would go to another tab and come back later) because I am interested in what someone might have taking way too long to load. But I want to see advanced tech, super cool animations, video or wild javascript effects. That said, I don't usually like what I see much, but sometimes I do if it is done well. I just like to see cutting edge stuff.

I'm interested to share some tips according to attract on website
  • The website opens fast.
  • The website has a nice-looking, modern design (the colors are not abundant, there are not too many graphic elements, the structure is transparent).
  • It is easy to navigate and find the necessary information.
  • There is not too much text - just the basic brief information.
  • There is a possibility to order a service online, make payments, etc.

1. UI / UX - [User Interface / User Experience] both are an important factor to attract the visitors
2. Also, call to action define lead to from your web page
3. Slider / Menus / Colors / Font / Content and everything should be perfect and tested
4. Also, 404 link in webpage shows bad impact with visitors
As per my opinion, these are some basic factors that you need to consider before developing the website

The plain answer to this question: Graphics.
When I see a website with a high level of creativity, it attracts my attention.

The graphics attracts me long before I notice anything about User Experience.

Hello,
In my opinion design with meaningful and unique content is the main part of any website, so it attracts more than any other part.

Hello,

The average website browser will stay on a webpage for 10-20 seconds at most.
First The first glance should surprise you! and entice you to continue to go through all the pages. 2nd to make it easy to navigate the web.
Third. Website Speed, make sure your website does not take more than 2 seconds to load. it increases the bounce rate.

Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity. I hate websites that loop and loop and loop before you get a simple answer. If you click on contact information you should see contact information.

Obviously simplicity always makes users feel great but you also need a bit more designs on your websites to make it more attractive.

What attracts me to websites is transparency, honesty and authenticity.

I believe people follow people and when one puts their authentic self out there for the world to engage with, then that could only mean great things will happen.

Transparency, honesty and being your authentic self will take anyone a long way!

Hope this helps. Feel free to connect with me! :)

Design for me definitely in combination with how easy it is to navigate. Oh and also easy reading as well and not too much text but combination of text or paragraph along with images to describe things too.

Fluid feel to it also is something I do like on websites as well. Being able to click on the menu link and changes to another page but doesn't feel like you ever left it and you don't see the loading in the browser.

I forgot the type of websites those are there is a certain type of scripting used for them ones, they are definitely my favourite!

These are a few of the factors for me. If it looks like it was built in 1993 by a 3rd grader I am usually off the site in about half a second.

  • Clean design
  • Easy to navigate
  • Clear what the site is about and I don't have to search to figure it out
  • If it is selling something then pricing is clearly stated and I don't have to contact them for more info
  • Great customer service
  • No spammy content or annoying ads - if you are selling something why do you put ads all over website. This tells me that your product is probably not good anyways because you need ads to support your website.

Already a ton of great comments in here, but I'll add my two cents. I'm an Email Marketer, so some bias may ensue:

1. A good design, as someone already pointed out, is not crucial, but if it looks unprofessional or like you did it yourself I'll quickly move elsewhere and not waste my time. I'm not really sure if these people forgot to allocate funds for their website or honestly think their design is really incredible. But I'm always astonished at how bad some startup sites are. Does not have to be award-winning, but have some respect for your business.

2. Most people already touched on this, but relevant information that's easy to find. There's a great book called "Don't make me think" that covers web usability. Really basic concepts that are surprisingly missing from most web designs. Users want to know what they're looking for and how to find the information they need. Don't make them think.

3. Load time- if it sucks I'm not sticking around. People love WordPress, but the themes you get from ThemeForest and many places are crazy bloated. I believe the stat (don't quote me on this) is a drop-off in about 90% if the load time is longer than 5 seconds. Many site owners don't notice because a) their browsers cache their own sites, b) they test from a landline and don't test throttled connections or from different servers, and c) think that a 3 to 4 second load time from a desktop is acceptable.
