I know that Bitcoins can be mined using GPU and CPU of our devices.

But until now, I am still confused on what is the difference of GPU in CPU

and What would be the best choice to use in Mining Bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies?

Someone please explain to me what are their differences and what should be my best choice.

Hello,

You can mine cryptocurrencies with your CPU (processor) or GPU (graphic card) depending on your computer hardware. But Bitcoin mining isn't possible with your computer CPU or GPU (I'm not saying you cannot mine bitcoins, but you will not be able to earn more than $1/month due to the bitcoin network hashrate).

There still are some cryptocurrencies which can be mined with a personal computer, especially cryptocurrencies based on the cryptonote algorithm like Monero, Stellite, Sumokoin, Graft etc ...

Yes, I agree and I already tried to mine some of those cryptocurrencies and I guess it is more better than bitcoin when it comes to mining because of its value also. I think that varies. Thanks, Cheers!

That's being said even with other cryptos you won't make any money of 1 computers unless you use multiple GPU cards you can probably lose money through due to energy consumption.

I agree that I will not earn that much when I only use just 1 hardware to mine bitcoins that's why I decided to mine other cryptocurrencies to earn as fast as possible because of the current hashrate.

Just to add to this point:
They are both processing units but with different capabilities. A CPU is seen as the powerhouse, which is needed to run different processes, such as programmes, and manage the complex tasks.
A GPU has far more cores than a CPU, which allows it to perform thousands more calculations at a time than a CPU can, which is necessary in managing graphics for example.

This is why GPUs have been used in mining.

For the most part of usage, your are right, but for cryptocurrencies mining , it's more complicated than CPU < GPU.
Because mining performance highly depend on the algorithm used and GPU can not always provide enough memory to run processes on every computing core available. It's the case for all cryptonote based cryptocurrencies like Monero, Sumokoin, Graft etc...

For example, if I mine Monero with my GTX 970, I will not do better than 380H/s, when my CPU (i7-4790K) hash rate will be around 280H/s.
Even if there are more than 500 computing units in my GPU, and only 4 physical cores in my CPU.

There are more than 20 algorithm used by cryptocurrencies, and each GPU or CPU will have a different hash rate with each algorithm.
