Should one stick with the HDD ?

SDD is taking over these days, as I read, so I wanted to hear out your opinion.

Which one do you use and would recommend ?

SDD seems more affordable than these, but I hope to hear it from you.

SSD are more affordable, but still 10 times more expensive than HDD. (Samsung EVO 1TB : 300$ - Seagate IronWolf 10TB : 300$).
So the best solution is to use SSD when we need the best performance (web hosting, operating system, applications) and to use HDD for less intensive usage (Video storage, archive, backup).
About NVMe, it will probably replace SSD storage because it provide a better latency by using PCI express connection instead of SATA, but it can't be compared directly with SSD or HDD because it's difference is more related to the connection with the other components than storage technology.

What I read, is that SSD is being used largely.
For beginning, stuff you mentioned, like performance, will be needed in order to start good.
NVMe is something that I had no experience with and was happy to ask in here, since there is bunch of people who have a deeper knowledge of this subject.
You provide me with some quality answers and I thank you for it.
