Did anyone here encounter a scammer during their online business experience? How do you avoid scams? Did you ever lose a huge amount of money due to a scam? I did get scammed a couple of times, but did not lose much money. I only lost my trust, and am now more cynical and hesitant towards transactions.

There's an old saying that to win big
you must lose some money first. I had
my fair share of scammers. I'm running
an online shop a couple of years back
and theres a girl who regularly orders
items from me and one time she ordered
in bulk and she was insisting to ship it
ASAP, I told her I'm still waiting for payment
confirmation, I then received a phony text message that payment has been made
so I sent the orders but later I found out
that it's a fake message. The order sent
can't be recalled anymore and I lost a good
deal of money that day. That's when I decided
to link a lot of payment options.

Yes, I'm one of those who scammed before and i lost a big amount of money not just my personal money but the money of other people therefore loosing their trust. Its a big lesson learned for me. I lost my credibility to other people and even my friends. I told to myself that i will not join anymore in this kind of scheme scam. I would say that there are lot of opportunities today which is very enticing and promising, you have to be very careful to that. I don't know if you are familiar with these ''Ponzi Scheme and Pyramiding Scheme''. These type of scheme are very dangerous, i guarantee that you will gonna loose your resources in this kind of scheme, and even your friends and family. For your basis on how you will identify if its legit or not, you have to look on the companies compensation plan, how does a company generates an income with this, where does the pay out comes from, try to look its sustainability and if it will last. From there you can figure out what your into.

No, because I never tried to invest in some online business because I'm not fully trusting them because I don't have any chance to get my money back once I get scammed. I learn how to be a smart buyer or a better consumer based on some articles and threads I read. It is really useful in order to have that knowledge and to avoid scams that online business offers. They are just so tricky so that's why they come up with some customers.

Before doing an online transaction, I always perform due diligence on the sellers.
I always check if the connection is encrypted.
I don’t trust any financial websites that don’t have an Extended Validation SSL.
I carefully read the About Us page and verify their contact details.
I make sure that the company is licensed or regulated in a safe jurisdiction.
I read other users’ reviews and opinions on blogs and forums.

There are so many scammers and bots out there that it seems impossible to ignore. As long as you analyze the situation and use your instinct then perhaps you can avoid getting caught in the scam. In my experience, I almost got convinced to take part in what I didn't think was a scam. I could have lost some money but I felt hesitant about the deal - it seemed "too good to be true" but then I did some research, over thought about it and it actually was too good to be true! I think it's natural for human nature to have hope and give each other the benefit of the doubt and trust one to be legitimate but it's not always true. Being cynical in this business is smart in my opinion, just keep it balanced and hold on to your humanity.

No, I haven't because before I venture on any online business I always do some thorough background research on the company whether if its legitimate or not. Here are some tips that you should follow:

1. Google search the company. Read the reviews and feedbacks about the company.
2. Read the content and look for spelling mistakes. If it does, meaning that little planning was made.
3. Check for scam alert when you google search the company.
4. Ask friends or family members if any of them heard about the business before.
5. Trust your instinct. If its too good to be true or you have a feeling that something is off then it might be a scam.

Yes, I got scammed once I lost money too. I was told I will double my money, I believed and nothing happened no replies from the site again. It was sad to see the money I was trying to save go just like that. I have learned not to trust everything I see online. Don't be a victim. Oh before I forget, I almost got scammed to double my bitcoin online. Remember there is no way to double your bitcoin online. It can be only through online mining with legit companies like Genesismining, hashflare etc. Make sure you do your research before investing your money online.
