I did too many changes or configurations on my CentOS and I could not roll back things I did. How can I reset CentOS to default without reinstall VPS? I am looking for a command to do this task through ssh.

If you have install it using YUM installation then please follow below steps to reset CentOS

1. List down all the commands which you have fired by history command - yum history list all
2. Get the details of each command - yum history info [entry number]
3. Undo all the commands which you have entered from top to bottom - yum history undo [entry number]

Please make sure, you will not undo the initial system install. Hope this will help you. :)

Unfortunately the most correct thing is to install one more VPS, there is installed a pure Centos and transfer the data there. Even if you cancel the changes, there will be a lot of dirt in the system.
