I don't really know if it has happened to you, but when I first started learning edition and whatnot, I thought that it could be easy to make a living from it, but after a couple of years and some experience, I've realized that chances are close to 1%. The internet is full of GFX designers, so the question is, why would I get hired over anybody else? At least, that has been my question lately. Getting hired as a designer has turned harder than ever due to the amount of "designers" out there nowadays. What do you think about this? Have you had any luck trying to make some cash from designing? Share your experiences!

You need to work as freelancer also and your freelancing profiles must be strong enough for your future.

I remember the year 1992 or 1993 when I use to work programming FoxPro (under Dos) and we have discussions with my team about how the future will be, like programs will create programs. And is really happening. Soon, human will be for sure phased out from this variable. I passed trough Windows from the beginning (Dos) to W10 and what I see now to the new IT specialists they are not interesting like we were to understand the core of the programs not just to copy/paste codes. Yes you're right, future is not so good for designers and not just for designers, for programmers too, professional programmers not just programmers with diploma.

The jobs for that are usually in the big cities unless you want to work as a freelancer, are you subscribed to freelancers websites so you can advertize your work over there?

I think yes there are many graphic designers. I have seen on graphic stores the approvals are getting more hard & time.
