Do you need to post daily for a website to prosper?

There are people who post daily on their blog and this makes viewers to check daily because they know that there is something new to read. I find this tactic to be very helpful since it guarantees that you will have traffic daily and your website will grow.

I often post once or twice in a month because I don't have many points to write about. I also feel that my readers won't get bored or miss out on the latest article because I do not post frequently. My website is growing slowly and I think the frequency of posting might be the cause. Do you think posting daily will make a website to prosper?

Well you know, I operate a WebSite with an attached Blog. In the blog, we publish daily a new article. I feel like we are a niche player and support this way our community. A Website which has not the character as a news channel or a blog there shall not be so many frequent updates. Yes daily fresh content should give you a better rating with Google as per my understanding

Well it depends. If a blogger has the ability to create quality content which captures the interest of audiences in a daily basis why not. For me, quantity does not matter as long as the quality isn't suffering. My suggestion is to have a scheduled time or day/s to post blogs. Wherein you can have a time to prepare quality content which will earn you more visits from your target audiences.

If you set expectations that your audience must wait for new blogs on a daily basis, then you are obliged to do so since your audience expects new content everyday. I would suggest that you provide them with proper scheduling of your posts so they can have their minds set that says "oh this guys will post new content next week, I'll be sure to check them out soon." If you know what I mean.

It is not the matter of posting daily, but being active such as posting trending information enhances visitors.

To sustain or attract visitors to your website, you have to make sure it is presented in a way that is attractively interesting, relevant and engaging to your target market. You really have to spend time and effort in making timely updates, analyze your frequent visitor profile and conversion rates.

Quality of interactive blogs is better than quantity especially if it speaks of new ideas or derived benefits. The presentation should feel like you are simply conversing to the reader and encourages sharing of ideas, opinions, etc. and hopefully leading to good sales leads or new opportunities. This way you bond with your reader and let them feel your sincerity, build trust and solid following. This also attract links from other sites or guest bloggers. Also, you can add polls, contest, giveaways, referral program to show appreciation. Even a trivia or "quote of the day" or "what's trending" will provide added value, enticing loyal following and having your website being referred to friends. Your blog or some features can be done on a weekly basis or over a certain period of time depending on the need. You still have to check your website daily for reactions or response that needs your immediate attention.

Another good way of attracting people to your website is to offer free content to websites that enjoys high traffic and catering to your target market. Most owners will welcome fresh content. If you are given permission, you are normally allowed to provide a link to your website just make sure you provide a short intro on who you are and what you are doing. Being able to access these websites not only attract traffic to your website but also positively build your reputation and open doors for other opportunities.
