Has anyone tried Github Pages?

Good free hostings are an impossible dream to realize, but some companies provide similar acceptable services, and who could do it better than Github?
Github has launched a little hosting service for static webpages and web applications, called Github Pages. It has quite a lot of limitations (can't use PHP files, can't access .htaccess files nor similar settings, etc.), but it provides a free, steady service that can be extremely useful for those who only need a reliable hosting for stuff like portfolios.

Have you ever tried it? How is it?

Hello,
I think no website is complete without PHP, and free websites was never taken seriously by visitors, the only use of free hosting is trying some application, I have found a web host who offer a great free hosting plan "https://cp1.awardspace.net/beta/" you'll love it.

That doesn't look bad at all! I mean, it's still a free hosting we're talking about, so it's normal they'll put limitations on it, but being able to use PHP and Wordpress is already an outstanding feature. It doesn't look too shabby from the reviews either, although I've seen some complaints about downtime.
Maybe I'll give it a shot in the future, thanks a lot for the tip!
