Wget doesn't work

I often use wget to get any files from different hosting servers but today I tried to get a zip file to my VPS but it didn't work
and alerting this

-bash: /usr/bin/wget: Permission denied

Why wget didn't work and what is that error?

Hello,
you are running wget with a user which doesn't have enough permission or there is an issue with wget package.

If you are on debian based distribution you can use:

sudo wget url

Else you need to login as root to execute wget.

I believe the destination server blocked this function from their server hence you can get any files from their server.

Try to run this command and see if it helps:

chattr -sia /usr/bin/wget
