You can use woocoommerce subscription plugin and do billing using wordpress itself, if you prefer to do so. But you cannot automate or link the server directly with wordpress without using WHMCS or other hosting billing and management system.

Also there are some problems with wordpress as billing system, you cannot provide your customer an account portal to check his due date, invoices, susbcripton status and much more.. So lot of limitations, Also you need to find out how you are goung to offer invoices to your customers, will you use zoho invoice or something?

I suggest to get WHMCS, you can link it with wordpress using wordpress whmcs bridge plugin. Else you can create sub domain for hosting whmcs and setup customer portal on it. Either way, WHMCS will make things easy for you and help you focus on marketing, customer support instead of doing most things manually. Hope this helps you.

Like rankmyweb said you can use woocommerce plugin but it's not good idea for web hosting business.

I advice you to go with WHMCS or Blesta.
You can use WHMCS themes so you don't need to redirect your customers.

WHMCS is way more then just for billing. It will handle your automation/cancelations, help desk, reports, crib jobs, etc, etc.

Use WHMCS and a WordPress template for your site if you want, and you will be better off for it.

There are number of billing system . Only thing is which ever have a better security go for that only. WHMCS and Hostbill are the popular paid billing system. But Still you need to make sure their is no compromise on security.

You can integrate WHMCS with wordpress, but there is a problem that you have to use different login information for both WP and WHMCS.
Why don't you use woocommerce? That's great enough to handle. I can't make sure if there is any option of automatic account creation, but it can be easily integrated with WP and for hosting products. Good luck.

Thanks,

Honestly, there are a lot of options for a billing system ( Free and Paid )
You haven't really mentioned your purpose which would really help in narrowing down your options.

WooCommerce supports both 2CO and PayPal as payment methods.
Also if you provide some sort of Service then there is https://serviceproviderpro.com/ which many digital marketers use currently.

It allows us to work on the whole team as if it were a CRM. Also for its ease. I've been working in this industry for years and I used WHMCS in my old company.

WordPress has plenty of payment gateways and billing system that you can use. But if you have an external system for billing, then see if you can get some form of integration. WordPress has Sprout Invoice and WP Invoice are two popular invoice system. You can use them from WordPress itself. If you choose to not go for external billing system then you can use WooCommerce add-ons.

You can also check out WHMCS Bridge for WordPress plugin. This is a good solution in your case.

The best choice would always be for billing would be determined by how easy it is to use its UI. Secondary but equally important feature for a billing system would be its customer support since dealing with money on a technological level would be difficult if something unplanned were to happen. PayPal + your local bank / credit agency would be the best choice. Simple and Straightforward. :)

Kayako gives better functionality for reports and escalation. Though WHMCS has in build support tool , its not that much advanced like kayako.

For startup you can start with whmcs support tool, but I would suggest you to upgrade your ticket system to Kayako and start exploring it. You will find it very useful and your customer as well would love it.

I would say the best and effective solution is to use WHMCS. There is no better option than this. This is the most effective way of utilizing automated recurring billing functionality with 2checkout.

the best billing solution out there would be WHMCS it only cost 15$ a month but it packs way more then just 15$ in features.
