I would love to also get some informations on cheaper gateways beside paypal.

One that I can suggest is bitcoin (coinpayments allows for easy integration). Using Bitcoin brings down your fees to either noting or exteremly low, in addition when reselling you can sometimes resell the bitcoin with 10% on top.

Issues with bitcion as payment:
More fraud.
More unwanted customers (breaking TOS).
Requires certain amount of automatic confirmations before the bitcoin gateway will actiavte the service so slower acivtation time for your customer.

If you have any questions in regards to bitcoin let me know and I can hopefully help. I will also add this thread to bookmarks as I would love to see some suggestions on other gateways beside paypal and coinpayments.

PayPal charges a 3.5% fee and 0.35€ commission per transaction, as above mentioned bitcoin is a gateway for all sorts of abuse and fraud.

Stripe only give you card payment method only. But 2checkout has all card payments and paypal method. they has internal fraud clearance process also. it's reduce fraud orders. Also 2checkout accept world wide merchants but stripe is not

2co is better in my opinion. As its supported in way more countries than stripe right now. Fees are very reasonable and alot of people use them in countries where paypal doesnt go, they do.

For me, 2CO is such a pain to get started with and approved. Unless it is an issue with availability, what are your thoughts on Stripe vs 2CO?

2CO requires a significant amount of information to create an account and you must be approved. If I remember correctly, 2CO actually doesn't allow hosting companies to use their service and they have terminated many of these accounts.

I'd say use Stripe - Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. For some countries, Bitcoin as well.
The fees are low - and there is no recurring cost.

2chekcout and paypal fit the bill in my book for what you asked. Not sure about the others mentioned here.

Well the best option to take credit cards payments is 2checkout. There are few others as well:

-stripe
-braintreepayments by paypal.
-ccavenue
-authorize.net

Does anyone use WorldPay? It seems like a 2Checkout alternative.
