What Domain Should I Buy?

Hello Friends.

This is Kashfiya Rafa newbie at this domain hosting stage.
So learn something special from you.
Me and my friend "Gustavo Woltmann" wanna start a new business of eCommerce to buy and sell unique articles though Internet.
So need a suggestion from you, what type of domain should I buy for my new site which would be SEO friendly too.

Hi Kashfiya,

You can go with the classic .com (recommend) but .net and regional domains such as .co.uk .fr would work also if you are targeting a specific region.
In terms of SEO any domain extension is as good as any other but I would go with .com

.com is used for commercial sites and its the best for SEO form just using a Domain I would always try and hit that 1st.

As LJShost was saying the other are mostly regional assigned domains.
.org & .net are not however are not,

Intended use Network infrastructure
Actual use ISPs; miscellaneous sites; used sometimes when desired name is not available in .com

Why not .rocks or .io or some cool gTLD extension? Besides the fact that some webmasters may block incoming emails from some gTLDs. Any interesting or cool name is already taken when it comes to .com

You can also do some wordplay with a cTLD like articl.es (just an example)

.com is recommended for eCommerce and Business site. Normally a .com domain is what a searcher types in first.

If your content is good, domain types wouldn't matter very much.

Maybe if your target visitors are older generation who are not used to weird gTTLDs or ccTLDs, but this forum is using .hosting, puffin is using puffin.rocks, so just make it catchy and the rest depends on the content.

I would just find a domain that you like the sound of and will be easy for people to spell and understand then go with that. If you are not going to be reselling the domain later then the extension really makes no difference.

Just make sure to look at the renewal costs of any domain extension that you are considering using because some of the new domain extensions are dirt cheap to register but expensive to renew and/or transfer.

A good domain name must be easy to remember, recall, pronounce and must be able to communicate with the target audience regarding the website. One can go with .COM or can use some newly introduced gTLDs that are appropriate for the site.

You should go with .com extension and you can get it for cheap via NameCheap.

You can choose from the top three generic top level domains such as dot com, dot net and dot org. If your business is inclined to commercial, profitable site, then go for dot com. When it's network related, and if it's a non-profit organization, then go for dot org. So the best choice for your upcoming eCommerce business is the dot com.

The domain, i believe has little effect on the SEO, however, you sould have a cear and memorable website name in order for your SEO to be optimized.

Agree with the previous replies, SEO point of view, go with .com extension. You can select other TLDs too but it will be beneficial if you will go with .com.

Your domain name should not be too long, it should be catchy and easy to remember. Do not choose the lengthy domain names. It will be hard to remember.

There are many kinds of domain that you can choose to buy like .com, .click, .org, .top, .science, .tech, etc. Any domain can be SEO friendly bust since your business is a commercial one, I recommend you to buy the most common one which is .com. And I also suggest that you buy it in cheap domain name selling sites like godaddy and namecheap. Also, .com domain is the most popular domain in online world in different countries. It will be easy for your website to have it's glorious voyage if it already has a prestige by having a .com extension.

My advice is to use the older and popular domain extension like .com and .net. For some reasons this will help your website to get recognized easily by many bloggers. Nowadays it is difficult to be top in a search, so it is very helpful to get a familiar domain extensions.

When I download anime and kdrama .io extension is the cheapest quality like kissasian.io and gogoanime.io. io is my favorite.
