Surfing speed and downloading speed are two different thing.
We get downloading speed when we divide the given speed by 8.
Suppose you have a connection of 1mbps then your downloading speed will be.
1/8 = 0.125 Mbps it is equivalent. to 125 kbps.
Similarly 2mbps speed gives a downloading speed of 250kbps
3 Mbps speed will give a downloading speed of 375 kbps and so on
For calculating the downloading speed you have to divide the file size by speed.
For 1mbps downloading time will be;
50/0.125= 400 second or 6 min and 40 sec,
In the simialar fashion you can calculate time for other speeds.
