Why have you started internet marketing?

I have been doing internet marketing for 2 years and it is really improving my web traffic and I am wondering:

Why have you started internet marketing? does it help you improve traffic for your site and increase revenue monthly?

Really interested to here your shares guys

Good question, I'm taking it more general and say ..

- Financial Freedom.
Not depending on anybody at all but myself is a great feeling.

- Working for myself and not straight into the pockets of others.
I've seen exploitation in my previous jobs, greedy bosses, working 10-16 hours a day in almost unpaid internships, the full clichÃ© of what comes close to slavery.

- The easy life ...
of making money anywhere in the world. Give me a Laptop, give me Wi-Fi and I can do it everywhere on the damn planet. That's the major advantage and so often I sit somewhere and think to myself "well, if I happened to be born 50 years ago, all of this wouldn't be possible." It's definitely one of the nicest things about it.

Funny, some one else just asked almost the same question.

As I said in the other thread, I was SO tired of working for some one else (any one really), and I noticed people where making money online, so I jumped in head first, hardcore. Pun intended if you knew.

Was mostly money, just to have the ability to increase my income by more than lousy yearly raises from a job. Freedom was the other big reason, work when I wanted, not when some one else told me I had to. With freedom so I did not miss out on family stuff.

Why I started... it was 1996 and why not? LOL but really it was me and 3 other friends and we basically saw the writing on the wall, and knew the "Internet" was the future. We went all in on a site that by the grace of god sold to Microsoft / Expedia a few years later.

I find the whole easy life and financial freedom thing amusing... I work way more than I would if I worked for someone. I work way harder than I would if I worked for someone.. I do make far more money than I would if I worked for someone.. but the point is You had better love what you are doing because it will straight up consume you! LOL I have been at it 20 years officially as of yesterday. love every minute of it, would not change it for anything.

My answer is simple, buying back my time from my work place and spend quality time with family.
