When do you run WHM backups?

Just wondering when everyone else runs their backups. My backup window is quite large and really hits performance well into the morning hours. I have moved the start time back once, but I am wondering what everyone else does with their backup scheduling.

Maybe you use a different solution than the builtin backup, is it better?

Do you ftp backups to another storage area?

I run daily backups at 2 AM and auto transfer to an S3 Bucket

Generating full WHM backups daily for each account will take time and use a fair amount of resources.
FTP'ing them out to a central storage location is typical, perhaps you could consider a solution such as r1Soft CDP which can take incremental file and database backups hourly or however you wish to set it.

Every 12 hours is sufficient for running backups depending on your business and what you offer.

I rsync our data to an offsite backup server using cPremote. That way we are not using up storage space on the cPanel servers which also causes fewer issues with fsck etc, but more importantly hardly using any CPU/MEM/IO during the backup process, unlike what happens when generating full cPanel backups. Let me know if you need any help setting up cPremote.

By the way, we offer cheap backup hosting but notice there is no section to advertise anything other than shared, reseller, VPS and dedicated!? Maybe Admin can add "Other Hosting Offers" or something like that.
