I want to start a new hosting blog to keep commands or tips from which I learned and used later for solving hosting problems when my sites get. What is trending now? Linux or Windows hosting tips? shared, VPS or dedicated hosting tips should to be added to? to attract visitors when my blog grows? What is an outline of the general processes I need to follow?
I realized that webmasters built hosting blogs to offer hosting affiliate programs on their blogs and they could earn decent money online. What are your thoughts on these?

Interesting question.

Many bloggers use google keyword planner to find-out what niche to use for their blogs and their trends.
Every OS have their own users, if you have decent knowledge for bout you can go and write for them. If you plan for you blog to be your main job you have to constantly research and learn for this topic.
Now question is do you want to make blog about web hosting in general or you want to build blog for affiliate purpose, reviews, tips or learning.

Affiliate programs you can easily integrate into any kind of hosting blog. Personally I don't like blogs that says bast web hosting providers and find find that all top list have 3-5 companies and all of them are same.
How will you implement affiliate for hosting is on to you, maybe is good method to put few web hosting offers in end of post like conclusion or something like that.
Now if you plan to have big project with your blog, it will be good to have all OS's and plans included into your blog as separate categories. With all that covered you can have much more visitors then blog specialized for one of category like shared web hosting.
I'm looking forward to see your blog.

I think that there are lots of hosting blogs out there and you should choose a web hosting niche you know the most about and stick to it.

Affiliate posts are a great way to make money but you often need a blog that's at least 3 months old with plenty of traffic and content already on your blog.

Exactly I had a blog but could not add affiliate links into posts because it is new and less traffic. No one can earns with a site some visitors per day.

Start is always hard, some blogs are build in years. But now you can get traffic much faster, just keep your mind on content and build good back links.
You can offer some guest writing for hosting website in exchange for backlink. Engage in social sites and forums.

Building a hosting blog is easy but creating hosting articles for it is very hard, you need to have knowledge about web hosting field and time to write, especially what you will give your visitors is what you will do in reality on your server or theirs.

Find a name for your blog, get a domain name, get hosting, implement word press, design the look and feel and navigation, research, write, optimize and share. :) Good luck.

Self promotion on social media is a great way to start obtaining a follower base, however quality content is key when it comes to blogging. SEO is also an importnat factor when it comes to obtaining readers, keywords are the base commodity of search engines.

I think you've realized that blogging is not so easy, at least not to the extent that you can earn a living from it. It requires a good deal of work and promotion. To begin, you need to be blogging value add content that is highly relevant to your visitors, that solves some issue or problem. And then that needs to be promoted. You need highly targeted traffic and some call to action, even if that's just to subscribe to a newsletter.

Before you do anything, make sure you have thoroughly done the following:
- Defined your target persona. Who is your audience? What is their demographic, psychographic, behavior, values and beliefs and pretty much anything that may help you targeting them better. What problem are you solving for them? Where do they congregate? Every consecutive marketing activity builds upon this.
- Do your keyword research and go purely for longtail keywords. The best too without any doubt is Ahrefs
- Add LSI keywords to your posts.
- Have the best possible content out there for the keyword phrases you are targeting.
- Find out where these people congregate and add to the conversation.
- Boost your reach with targeted facebook ads that drive traffic to your blog post.
