Vesta does not support multi server so I wouldnt go for that even though it is light.

Plus ISPConfig supports OpenVZ.

I'm a little new to setting up my own server or VPS and have been looking at different panel options. I haven't heard of ispmanager yet. Is ispmanager better than vestacp an icpconfig for someone new to installing and using these on a VPS?

It really depends on reason for which you are going to use server. If it is for personal usage for small websites or testing I would choose VestaCP because of its simplicity. If you are going for non-personal usage of server then I would choose ISPConfig because it has more functions and it would be easier to manage bigger number of users. So you should consider all factors when choosing control panel because also there is a lot of others alternatives

That helps for a hosting provider to split a server into multi servers?

It is a good advice but I read on the forum some people here reported any bugs of VestaCP, I am afraid of that.

Vestacp work fine, is easy to use, have complete backup system and you can move users from one server to orther, in ISPCONFIG this is complicated ispconfig not have full backup system but you can run multiserver.

I installed Vestacp on the VPS but not used yet. It is secure and I can upgrade to mariadb and PHP7 for it.
I am not sure about this because my websites are running mariadb and php7.

What is the best control panel between VestaCP and ISPConfig?

Hello,

There are a lot of different control panels available for web hosting, but two of the most popular are VestaCP and ISPConfig. VestaCP and ISPConfig are both great control panels for managing your server, but which one is the best for you?

Both VestaCP and ISPConfig offer a web-based interface for managing your server. VestaCP has an advantage over ISPConfig in that it is easier to use and more user-friendly. Additionally, VestaCP offers more features and options than ISPConfig, making it the better choice for most users. However, there are some key differences between the two that you should be aware of before making a decision. For starters, VestaCP is open source and free to use, while ISPConfig is a commercial product. It means that VestaCP is a great choice if you're on a budget, but you'll miss out on some of the advanced features that come with ISPConfig. Another big difference is that VestaCP is designed for Linux servers, while ISPConfig can be used on both Linux and Windows servers. It means that if you're using a Windows server, ISPConfig might be a better option.

Finally, it's worth noting that VestaCP has a learning curve that's slightly steeper than ISPConfig. However, once you get the hang of it, VestaCP is just as easy to use as ISPConfig. VestaCP has more features than ISPConfig, including a built-in firewall and support for multiple domains. ISPConfig has some unique features, like an integrated billing system, but it doesn't have as many overall features as VestaCP. Finally, consider ease of use. VestaCP is easier to use than ISPConfig, with a more intuitive interface. Ultimately, the best control panel for you will depend on your needs and budget.

So, which is the best control panel between VestaCP and ISPConfig? It really depends on your needs and preferences. If you're looking for an easy-to-use web interface and support for multiple domains and websites, then VestaCP is a excellent choice. However, if you need more advanced features or better documentation, then ISPConfig is the better option.

Both VestaCP and ISPConfig are popular open-source control panels, and the best one for you depends on your specific needs and preferences.

VestaCP has a user-friendly interface and is known for its ease of use and setup. It offers a variety of features including email, DNS, and database management.

ISPConfig, on the other hand, is a more advanced control panel that offers a wider range of features, including support for Softaculous, as you mentioned. It is a popular choice for web hosting providers, but its interface may be less user-friendly than VestaCP's.

Ultimately, both control panels have their strengths and weaknesses, and the best choice depends on your individual needs and preferences. You may consider trying both out and see which one works best for you.
