will multile 301 redirects add strength to a single page?

one of the things my new server host noted was there might be lots of internal links causing massive server queries, so I was thinking, if I have 5 paged and tag pages on "dogs" could i 301 all of them to a single dog page saving the server queries from ever happening, and conolidating my page strength?

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what your asking, but I will try to answer.

This makes no sense. Your links are causing too much load? Links don't cause a load, traffic does. If your site is receiving more traffic then your server can handle, (or your pages are poorly optimised causing a higher then normal load), then sending users to a different page will not help at all.

Not quite sure what you mean. You can 301 related internal pages to a single page and if these pages have links and authority then yes it should pass this authority to the new page. Is that what you are asking?

Yes, you can do 301 redirect those 5 pages & tags on one single page, this is good for SEO & easy also to handle server errors.
