Once you have a good track record, ranked many of your sites and helped other people rank then you can easily guarantee rankings. Or do you prefer to buy SEO service from someone who's not sure whether you'll rank or not?

I would rather trust someone who guarantees that I'm going to rank than "might rank". If someone guarantees rankings and fail, you have the right to get your money back even if it violates their refund policy.

But I have to agree that: "We Guarantee #1 rankings in Google" just seems far fetched

At least if you say improve rankings but don't guarantee any specific position.

Welcome to the forum. Oh, I just thought of one: the idea that "push-button software" can bring you untold riches. I don't know why people still fall for that. People think that just because we work on the internet, it must be magic. You aren't going to be making money online in the next week or month without having some kind of system in place to help you bring in cash. Even though this is the internet, the basic rules of business still apply.

Welcome to WebmasterSun. No one can guarantee you a number one ranking on Google, although I have seen my share of SEO firms that claim to do so. I do believe if you're anywhere on page one, you should be happy, but the closer to the top of the organic listings, the better.

I agree with you there are many SEO companies who takes guarantee to rank website on first position but it not possible in most of the cases.

Welcome buddy! I think one of the most common lie in the seo industry is "we offer you Ranking #01 on google in less than a month" yes, I have read that a lot in many blog sites and forums.

SEO is the only part of web where there is only few true expert. And when i see the prices of SEO software ... Last week semrush send me a "special deal", 1295$ for the year instead of 1500$. I was so happy :smart:

But yes it can be easy for any web agency with a clean wordpress theme to charge customers for "#1 rank". But when you want to repair your car and you know nothing about mechanic, you already know you will pay for many things your car doesn't need ... #scam

"We Guarantee #1 rankings in Google" this statement might seem to be a lie when said my a person/company with limited track record or experience. But on the other hand its true. An experienced SEO can Guarantee #1 rankings in Google compared the fact of the keyword strength and competition.

There's a saying in the field that, nobody knows what they're doing.
To a degree this is very true. Everything in the world of digital marketing, seo, ppc changes so frequently that we apply our own methodology and our interpretation of it all. There is no set way of doing things, sure fire steps to success, a guarantee to rise to the top. There's just people who dedicate their professions to finding out where to go next...

Biggest lie in the SEO industry is usually promised by the agencies who practice blackhat seo, mantain PBNs etc., Unfortunately, people fall prey for cheap price and guarantees promised by scammers.

True SEO professionals will never say that " I will rank xyz keywords for $xyza in XYZ days guaranteed". If anyone tells you this stay away. No one knows what Googles algorithm is, SEO is like stock market, experts can only predict or foretell results based on too many factors and past experiences and current status of website.

If someone promises you, that they will guarantee rankings, thats a big lie.. SEO is a very difficult process and too many works needs to be done to rank. Now someone here will come and start arguing. Its alright, arguements does nothing good. Its a known fact to everyone, there is no guaranteed rankings.
