I want to learn techniques that help me increase traffic and revenue for my blogs.

What are steps to check a source and how to know it's good for us?

I would start in 2 places. In terms of revenue, I would start with this. Down at the very bottom of the page there is a whole section of links ( "Research Directory" ) I would read til im cross eyed - get some rest and then repeat over and over LOL ) The next suggestion would be to read up on and watch anything Gary Vaynerchuck. He focuses almost entirely on social media. But, if you look past the overall theme, and get an idea of what he is saying, how to get to your target audience, and how to sell to them, the concepts can get you in the right direction.

Would I suggest buying the meclabs courses..to start probably not.. would I suggest buying Gary's books.. well more than likely yes.

Other options.... find what you think are "Successful" blogs in your niche - and other niches as well. Get on their mailing lists..see how they are talking to their followers. Read their posts.. how are they communicating. Find where they are marketing away from their site. Are they guest posting? are they active in forums? etc etc.

Online success generally will follow a pattern. You can try and re-invent the wheel,or find the repeated pattern and follow along.

Pat Flynn would be another person I follow. Very active across multiple media platforms.... you can visit his site and get an idea of his income. speaking of income, find earnings roundup posts to identify financially successful blogs, and again break down what they are doing, and how they are doing it.

Hope that Helps!
