Can I send out emails even when hosting goes down?

I am using Google apps trial for a month but going to buy this paid service for next months

I set up Google apps mx record values on my cPanel as follow info and in the Email Routing box, I selected Remote Mail Exchanger and Saved changes.

My question is, Can I send out emails with Google apps even when hosting goes down?

Yes & no.

Can you still send out email with your hosting goes down? Yes, you can.
Can you still send out email if your DNS goes down? NO, you cannot!

When you try to connect to you Google email (or someone sends you a email) via your own domian name, the connecting servers first check what nameservers your domain name uses (which is set at your domain registrar). Then the connecting server contacts the nameserver to get your DNS records. (Which you displayed above).
If your DNS (Domain Name Server) goes down, then there won't be anything to tell the connecting server here to check.

Therefore if you are using your hosting provider for your DNS, if their server goes down, your email will go down too!

If you are worried about loosing email when your hosting goes down, you can use free DNS services like CloudFlare (or get a better hosting provider!)

RDO servers is right - since your email is handled by Google.
However DNS with CloudFlare is a great option - and free.

You won't lose email, though. For the most part, mail gets spooled (and should get spooled) if any services are down.

But as I knew then CloudFlare could change/hide my real DNS when integrates it on my hosting. does it affect to send/receive emails?

Yes You can Just Make sure you Own Domain.... From Domain Control your can see -MX Values if your Domain Registrar provide free DNS management... and you keep Using same services even if you not renew your hosting services...

If your Domain Registrar not provide DNS Management then Better go for most flexible Cloud Flare - Safe Secure and Fast

If you use Cloudflare's nameservers, then mydomain.com will direct requests to nsname.cloudflare.com
On Cloudflare, you will setup the same MX records as you displayed in the original post.
Theses MX records point to Google and will resolve your email so you can still send/receive even is www.mydomain.com is offline.

I mean Cloudflare will use their DNS instead my hosting DNS.

Visit Cloudflare.com and follow the process to create an account and add your website. It will walk you through the process and should automatically import your current DNS settings.

However, there might be some settings that don't get automatically imported.
